What does ZDnnnn in Summary of User Requests refer to?

In reviewing Summary of User Requests, most have a link to the original question. A few merely say Q&A Link ZD # nnnn. What doe it mean and how do we find it? This should be added to the Summary or it's link provided directly.

I spend most of my time developing layouts in the Design Mode. Almost all of my questions refer to MDP, most recently with Mac OS. It would be nice to be able to select MIDI Designer rather than Other/Unlisted Maker.

I have a Peavey AT200 guitar that I connect, via the Quicco Sound BlueTooth Midi interface to my 3rd generation iPad. I have the complete software on the guitar. When I open the AT200 layout, I see 6 buttons on the bottom right corner, signed as E3, B2, G2, D2, A1, E1. I don't exactly understand their functions, apart that, to have the layout working on the guitar, I have to select A1 button. Someone kows what they mean?

MD with iRig BlueBoard midi receive CC command

Hello!

I working with MD , Korg keyboard and iRig BlueBoard foot pedal.

I have 2 pages (right pedalboard in MD) with 2-2 buttons/ page (Foot A, B ) The 2-2 buttons are 2-2 Drum presets.

I click the buttons "receive midi" message, and the

- first page buttons receive midi ch

  "foot A" button - CC 1-20       -> Supercontrol -> SYSEX message

  "foot B" button - CC 1-21       -> Supercontrol -> SYSEX message

- second page buttons receive midi ch

" foot A samba" button - CC 1-20     -> Supercontrol -> SYSEX message

  "foot B samba button" - CC 1-21       -> Supercontrol -> SYSEX message

When i'm on first page and i pressed on the iRig Blueboard foot pedal "A", then the MD send ALL messages (from first page "foot A" message and after from second page "foot A samba" messages. And same with BlueBoard foot pedal "B" -> in MD "foot B" and "foot B samba"

If i pressing on MD the buttons, then work great, but when receive midi message (CC20, CC21) from external Blueboard, then ALL CC20 or CC21 button's message is running

If you search, there are several existing layouts for Albion One, which is a Spitfire Audio product, which shows what can be done with MDP2.

There is also a layout that simulates a behringer x-touch mini, which appears to be similar to the Korg Nano.

Whatever can be controlled via midi on Spitfire can be done from MDP2. You might start with the Behringer x-touch mini, and once you are comfortable, start customizing your own layout.

Is there any way MD can capture a snapshot sent from my kenton control freak.

I have a kenton control freak which I use to program my outboards. I normally set all the sliders to target whatever piece of hardware I need to alter. When satisfied I record this information by sending a snapshot of the current fader positions into cubase.This is just a one bar chunk of midi information which I then place at the beginning of a project thereby automatically setting all my gear to the required sounds / programs etc etc. What I want to do is capture this midi info from the kenton into MidiDesigner thus eliminating the need for my iMac or macbook. I use an irig midi2 by the way for my interface.

The easiest way to get your layouts to open in MIDI Designer is to have them in Mail, Dropbox or Google Drive. Then you can use "Open in..." to open them in MDP2.

From your iPad or iPhone, just touch and hold (long press) on the link. This should allow you to specify to open in MIDI Designer.

READ THE MANUAL ENTRY ON THIS TOPIC under "Opening Layouts in MD"

You can also use iTunes File Sharing to transfer files.
