How to create 4 toggle buttons ON/OFF, resulting in 16 combinations ?

Hi all, working on a new layout.

Situation:

To activate 4 effects (separate and simultaneously) the device accepts 16 values.

value 0 = all effects off;

Value 1 = effect 1 ON, other 3  effects off;

value 2= effect 2 ON, other 3 effects off;

value 3= effect 1+2 On, other 2 effects off”

——————etc

Value 15 = all effects 4 on

Question: how can I - much like in a stomp box way - use 4 buttons on/off to trigger the device response?

I created a knob with 16 values, no problem but I’d like to activate these values with 4 buttons!

Any thoughts?

Aha! Maybe this is bit changer moment. Exploring that, it’s an older device from 1987.

Midi designer thought of everything really!

I created 4 bit changer button, made them super controls of the sysex knob and changed the bits for each button.

I noticed the phrase bit0 - bit4 in the manual so that triggered my interest.

This is an old Roland device from 1987z

Always be aware of the manual.

Once done I will release this layout.
