I would like to learn more about the midi assignments used in the MIDI Designer design function. I know there are tables that list them but I'm still confused as to what to order such as channel, continue, and other listed numbers and functions.

There's a wealth information on MIDI on the Web. Personally, I always take it from the other side: what MIDI messages is the target I'm trying to control asking for?
Thanks for your question and for checking out MIDI Designer!
Yes there is a lot of info out there but an old (76) honker it would be a blessing to have a walk thru from start to finish with a little detail on what's goin on. Most tutorials are show off stuff with lots of mumbo jumbo goin on with very little commentary . ( Not yours, but a lot of demo stuff that's out there.) Again thanks for your quick response ,that's pure dope stuff. Jack
I hear you on the MIDI stuff, but again: most MIDI targets only use channel-cc (control change) and Note-On/Note-Off. So if you read up on those, you're pretty much introduced. Also note that in most contexts, the CC numbers don't mean anything in particular. After that, there are just "other message types," including bank select, program change, sysex, NRPN and even some that MIDI Designer doesn't implement (RPN is the only one I know of)... anyway, good luck and feel free to come back with more specific questions... Congrats on the 76 thing, I hear that's when the wisdom coalesces...
