Hi all,
For very good reasons I crammed 39 effects in one overall effect section. 39 effects witch each different parameters sets.
So that 39 x (knob rate, knob volume, knob mix, etc) in one effect section which is a sub of these effects and their parameters.
Some effects have 5 parameters (knobs), some 3 parameters, some 13 parameters.
I created for each effect (set of parameters) a 39 to 1, supercontrol --> subcontrol setting.
Because all 39 effects have at least one variable parameter/control (knob) the first subcontrol has 39 supercontrol knobs.
The 2nd subcontrol has also 39 supercontrols, etc.
The 13nd subcontrol has only one supercontrol.
Of course there are issues when doing this, that I pretty much solved. When effect 1- parameter 1 has a midi range (value) of 00-100 (dec) and effect 2 parameter 1 had midi range(value) 1-4 I can solve that with a named ticked list for the shared subcontrol naming this.
For now I let the 0-100 (largest range/value) dictate the sub knob's range so all options are covered. When the 2nd effect, first parameter is used 1-4 it will only display a very short range on that shared subcontrol.
Question: betides named ticks is there a way to improve the visuals so when turning supercontrol 1(0-100) the sub show that range and when turning supercontrol 2 (1-4) the same subcontrol show the same min-max? (I could use another variable control like a horizontal fader instead of a knob, that would give another visual).
Does my question makes sense? May take some fantasy to grasp.
Here is a vid to support it:
I also created a 5 effects sample, parameter 1 --> 1 sub control example, screenshot and download
Thanks,
Gurbz
