This is a midi converter for the original Korg Wavedrum. It converts incoming continuous controller info into the relevant sysex info.

What? The original wavedrum had MIDI inputs? The newer one released in 2005 or whatever didn't have any MIDI input AFAIK
Yep! I am fortunate to get one of the original ones from the mid nineties. Unfortunately the only way to access all the parameters is via sysex. With this layout I’m able to change any parameter as I’m playing with my DAW or a MIDI controller.
Thanks, that's awesome. We'll be glad to screenshot your layout for ya, but if you want to post a video or picture showing what you're doing that would be amazing. It's so amazing that this device -- launched in 1994 by Korg -- is still such a big deal. Fabulous.
Korg even made a dedicated hardware editor for that early wavedrum (and the M3R synth)...it was called the RE1, and you can still find them on eBay.
I actually have the RE-1 editor for it. The reason I made the layout was so I could control the wavedrum hands free as I played it rather than messing with faders.
Here’s my video showing how I use my layout to control my original wavedrum. In the intro and the ending is when I’m using it. If you look closely you can see the left most fader change with every hit of my right foot.
Hell yeah, thanks for sharing.
