A long shot suggestion as I dont know if this is technically possible??
Push a button a message is sent to the device which echos current values, all sliders/knobs/buttons etc then reflect the value of the device.

We already do this if your device (MIDI target) supports it. Usually, you send a program change and the MIDI target sends its values back to MD. Thanks, and let me know if this comment helps or not!

Cool, I've not note this functionality with any hardware synths. (to be fair a Juno 106 and Novation A-Station). But I can appreciate the concept, i'll keep an eye out for it.
A trivial request but interesting non the less.
Cheers

I think is would be an amazing feature as pretty much alp the competition don't seem to have such a feature. My synth has such a feature but the data has a header and then just dumps all the data in one chunk. I don't see how md could do that? Surely it would need the whole lot in, in the same way as it goes out. I know so little but would love to add this feature to my layout.
