Simple stomp box on off...HOW!?!?!?!

I seem to be missing something fundamental somehow. I just want a toggle that turns on and off a stop effect in Bias FX. I have control of volume, gain, tone, etc, and the on/off switch is receiving CC23 (my chosen number) but nothing happens. The glow goggles on and off but the effect does not respond. What am I missing, thanks.

Try another CC. Also check the log to see if there’s anything weird. Also try creating a new button from scratch
