Can Midi Designer 2 design all hardware instruments?

Hey, i'm wondering if  Midi Designer 2 is a good tool to design midi layouts for all hardware instruments. I have used applications like the BC manager and the iFCB manager for my BCR2000 and FCB1010 in the past  and they work well but they're kind of confusing and have alot of intricacies. Can I use the 'foot pedals'  or another feature to easily program these controllers too or am i better off using their software?  

Also, is there any way to use more than 6 banks?

It's 100% dependent on what MIDI interface the thing you're trying to control -- your "MIDI target" -- exposes for its MIDI interface. There aren't a lot of intricacies to MD until you want to get into fancier things like Radio Buttons ("Button Groups"), Channel Changers (to use the same controls for multiple purposes) and so forth.

Regarding using MD to edit your BCR2000 and FCB1010: it's unlikely that it's worth the time to create an editor for those. Also, many editors have special properties that make them impossible to modify in a "simple" controller like MD. A typical example is a knob that needs to change its ticks based on received MIDI values. MD provides no way to do this, but it's typical for most editors. Make sense?
