Thanks, we were not aware of this issue until you posted this. We'll look into it and circle back closer to the weekend. Please be patient as we fix any bugs on iOS 11.
good, thank you!
I am frequently switching between MD in slide-over mode and the "normal" mode, where MD is the only app in foreground, in full view. Maybe that matters.
I realised that iOS 11 remembers the last state in which mode an app has been opened. If it was in slide-over mode before, an "open url" massage will open it in  slide-over again. The only chance is to launch it from the home screen or in multitasking overview. The advantage is, that both apps are always active, the slide-over and the main app behind.
So, this is not a bug report and not related to MD at all, just things I am thinking about.
That's all very helpful. I need to grab an iPad Pro and do some testing soon. Hang in!
There is no hurry, I know, you do everything very carefully.
Hey there, so with the zoom tool you’re able to get it back to the size you need, right? is there any regularity for how you need to launch it to achieve this bug? We’re not able to find anything consistent (but not testing with at iPad Pro at this moment). Thanks.
yes, with the zoom tool I can get it back to normal size, and I think that I found out something.
Image 1 shows how it always looks like before manually zooming (and the zoom toll is always visible).
In slide-over mode it opens also in reduced size (not good). Always, with no exception.
If zoomed, the layout does not entirely fit into the window vertically, because Apple reduced the hight of the window. I don't understand the sense of this (=Image 2). But this is no problem for me, I can adjust the layout.
The only way that I found out, how MD opens as it should is via multitasking (Image 3), but only with these conditions:
Some other app has to be launched by multitasking first, and then MD has also to be launched by multitasking.
As soon as any app has been launched by an "open url" command, the problem is back.
I hope, this helps somehow.
Hey there, the images are missing. You could attach them to the question or link to them somewhere. Thanks!
sorry, now I know how to do it properly
Thanks, we’ll look into this shortly and circle back (perhaps with more questions). Photos look fun!
regarding fun: the words on the MD homepage – “Plain fun” | “User-friendly” | “Highly configurable” could be mine. I really enjoy to work with this app.
Thanks, means a lot! So I can see the bug if I just press the home button and then come back to MD. Then it’s scaled down, when in fact there should only be one scale allowed (full screen).

I’ll look into it in code shortly.
exactly, this is the problem, thanks!
So... I’m not able to get this problem to happen if I have “No Welcome Screen” toggled on under options. You need the Extra Features Pack for this, I think...
I have the Extra Features Pack, and “No Welcome Screen” is enabled.
Would it help to delete the app and install it again?
No, deleting the app won’t change this behavior. Just need to figure out what’s going on. Are you on the very latest iOS 11?

That probably won’t help either. I just need to figure out how to replicate the problem you’re seeing IN AS FEW STEPS AS POSSIBLE with as few dependencies as possible.

Thanks!
Dan
Yes, I am on 11.0.2
Okay cool. I see your notes about the Open URL command above Hopefully that will help me replicate.
A remark to that: I get the same result when launching MD from the home screen, from the dock or by an Open URL command. Maybe there is some difference when selecting an app in multitasking overview — the app is not "launched", but only brought to the foreground while already running (?)
We have a fix for this in Beta already. Did I add you to the Beta team? If not, may I?
Great!
No, I am not in the Beta team. Yes, please add me to it.
Thanks!
Josef
@Josef you've been added: 2.92 fixes TONS of cosmetic and similar bugs in MDP2. On some level, it's not that interesting, but it makes it all feel a lot better. Let me know what you think of the beta via TestFlight!
fantastic! I will try it immediately and report then.
The latest build is called 201710242127 but you'll see it as something a bit nicer. Should fix all these weird issues.
started testing right now, thanks!
Yesss, 2.92 beta solved the problem. I did not explore all new details yet, but I can confirm, the overall feeling is superb!
I wrote a more detailed feedback to MD support via TestFlight.
Thanks and Congratulations!
Josef
