Hello all :
I am a multi instrumentalist/vocalist , I have a T.C. Helicon Vocal Live 3 X , it can do program preset changes using floor pedal switches or a Sennheiser M-76 microphone as well as programmed switch FX changes like the floor unit , a total of five change commands from the microphone can be executed . The M-76 has a small LED read out the handle to show the preset your on .
I'd like to be able to have that kind of switching power on a different microphone .
The M-76 is a low Hz mic with a 48V phantom needed to operate .
The mic I want to use is a high Hz Shure 520D Green Bullet or a similar fat Bullet Body type mic housing for the switches and led .
I know I can get a X-former to match up the impedance so the high Hz mic can be used on the low Hz input of the T.C. Helicon Vocal Live 3 X's input impedance . I checked with T.C. Helicon on this being possible and they said yes , just that I won't get preset or CC . If I can't get presets or CC - why bother in the first place.
But - -
I don't know how to go about designing the switch's circuit needed to fit in the housing of Shure 520D Green Bullet mic . I don't know if these switches needed are passive or need the phantom 48V's like the M-76 mic does , surely it must because of the led preset light indicator .
To have the triggers/switches to make the preset & CC like the Sennheiser M-76 does on a Shure 520D Green Bullet mic triggering Delay - Harmony - uMOD - Reverb - HIT or loop start - dub - stop would be absolutely killer with a hard punching Rock-N-Roll , California Jump Blues or Chicago Electrified Blues Harrmonica/Harp nailing it live with the VL3X's FX power .
That's what I want to learn here if this is possible for performing live the Classics , Standards , The Blues - Jazz with the power of all those commands in the mic I'm holding . The Shure 520D is that special a mic for the harp/harmonica .
Hope there's someone/ones here that understand where I'm coming from cause this is no easy thing to do for me to figure out with out some help .
After talking with T.C. Helicon ( who I like and am not dissing ) I realized that they don't understand or have time to think on this with me to develop . Most corporations work like that I have learned .
Thanks :
HR
