Clip Launch Buttons That Mimic APC

I am able to use button groups with supercontrols to mimic Ableton's session view for launching clips. I'm wondering if it's possible to set them up so that when I select a new clip, that button will flash in Midi Designer the same way it does within Ableton, and then stay lit when the clip actually launches(I basically want to mimic the functionality of an APC mini or APC 40, etc..)

There is no way to do this in MIDI Designer currently. Theoretically you could create an Ableton script that manually flashes a button in MDP, but you cannot change the color from your MIDI target, update the name of the button, or any of the things which you'd need to build a real Ableton controller.

You can check out Selected Track Control from Ableton, but it's not going to get you that close to what you're trying to achieve. Ableton controllers like LivKontrol might be a better bet.
