Presets for Groups: Overlap

The  Problem
Subcontrols can only have ONE value for ALL preset supercontrols at any value.

Example: a knob called "Distortion" has two preset supercontrols: "Presets Tuesday" and "Presets Thursday". You store the value of 50% on the Distortion knob when supercontrol Preset Tuesday is at 10%. The overlap happens when Presets Thursday is set to 10% and Distortion moved to 50%, even though you didn't set it!

Use Non-Overlapping MIDI Ranges in the Supers

The Solution
Make your supercontrols have non-overlapping MIDI ranges.

More Sophisticated Solutions
Using named ticks in your supercontrols, make sure their MIDI values don't overlap.

Note that if your supercontrols are NRPNs, you can easily get 16,384 presets!
