Receiving a Patch dump INTO MD

MIDI Target Manufacturer(s): Clavia/Nord

I am trying to create a NORD 2x Layout which can reflect patch changes FROM the Nord hardware.

as a test - I created a Filter attack knob and have tested it - works both ways

Then I set up a BUTTON with SYSEX   33 00 04 14 00 V  with LSB and 2 bytes

This is the ALL controllers REQUEST sysex.  I would have assumed this would automatically change the value of the knob whenever I change the patch on the NORD and then hit the SYSEX btn in MD.  But it doesn't.

SO, is it possible to get patch or controllers DUMPS from hardware into MD.

I can do this from LEMUR but it requires some complex scripting.
