Please see http://tiny.mididesigner.com/vintage-throttle for the new feature coming in 2.4.5. More beta testers needed (2016-10-18)!

No Proper Vintage Throttle Yet

Thanks so much for your question. Currently there is no proper vintage throttle for MIDI Designer. We've been realizing recently how critical this is to work with older MIDI targets, and will implement something soon. Please hang tight!

Thanks, this will solve many problems!
Hey Dan,
How's this feature request coming along?
I might add that the ability to control the speed of a string of midi commands is Not just for old gear... This EHX-8 is quite new in the market. I have found there to be a lot of brand new and expensive devices that are not able to cope with rapid-fire midi commands. Fwiw this seems to be an issue that is plaguing the new collection of midi products.
What the midi delay between commands will do for MD and those who use it is the ability to raise the reliability of our setups in mission critical scenarios. MD  Pro is great for sure but I need for it to be useable with all of my gear scenarios.
Thanks,
Al
Hey there, sorry for the delay. Early September and it'll be part of the Extra Features Pack (which is free to use in performance mode for existing layouts for everybody). Are you on the beta team? If not, can I add you? Thanks.
Yes please add me to the beta team
Thanks Al
Thanks, will do, and the betas will start rolling out in September. Once we are successful with the Vintage Throttle, we'd be really keen on getting any pages/layouts/etc. that are of interest to others users... but first things first, let's get you happy with MD in all situations, first.
Please add me to the beta test of the vintage throttle.
Hey @fretnomore, just added you again. Thanks!
@Alancari if you want to help test, that would be great. Please let me know, thanks
2.4.5 is in alpha right now with this feature. Looking forward to how it works, thanks!
I gave it a first quick test and it looks promising! Will test more ...

How does this work though; since this is a global setting does it affect all outgoing messages?
I think I'd like the option of going even slower. And, could this be a per-supercontrol setting?
1) Slower? No problem. 2) It affects all outgoing messages. The easiest mod to make at this point is per CONTROL, not per supercontrol. Would a per-control toggle help? Per-supercontrol is possible, but a) it's harder by a bit and b) I'm not convinced that we should give up this fine-grained control. Thanks for testing and for the dialog.
I thought of supercontrols because in my case that is what causes batches of messages, but I guess per control would be fine too.
The latest build on TestFlight allows you to modify the output of individual controls. It also doubles the delay time. Thanks
Very cool ... can't try it though since design mode is not available.
All IAPs are free in beta. Just go forward with the purchase process and it will tell you at the very end that it's against a sandbox account. But it uses your regular apple account. Scary, i know, but it cannot charge you for real in beta
I tried but got a message saying IAP is not available, try again later.
@fretnomore which country's app store are you in? Thanks
@fretnomore in the worst case scenario, I can release a NEXT version to beta that has all IAPs unlocked, but I'd love to figure out what's happening instead. BTW, if you want, please hit ma up via email at support [at] mididesigner.com.

IAP worked in the latest version so I'm on track!
Great to hear! Curious about how this latest throttle works out for you, thanks! Also take note of this newsletter and MD Designer Con One: http://tiny.mididesigner.com/2016-october-news2
Looks good so far! Real life and the day job is intruding though, I'll try to do some more organized testing this coming weekend.
