Receive Midi control changes from external device / Midi mapping „button“ ableton

MIDI Designer receives MIDI cc data and will move the controls that are mapped. If MIDI Designer is "going crazy" then it must be some MIDI data that is coming to it that is not expected... use Snoize MIDI Monitor (on Mac) or MIDI Ox (PC) to figure out what's up with your MIDI, first. Then circle back.

Regarding button changes: buttons for what? MIDI Designer responds well to most button change feedback from Live.

Thanks.
Thanks for your reply. Yes it works on most cases the way you said. The reason why I thought it didn't is because it does not work under following circumstances - which were the ones I tried:

- If I change Presets on my external device the midi monitor shows a bunch of control that are hit....I have to investigate on that when I have more time. Although all other things work out finde (hit a effect, turn down levels etc.) It seems only to be a problem with program changes.

-Midi mapping also works great with buttons. The only place it doesn't work is when I launch scenes on ableton.
