How to implement a MIDI patch/program change page

Question

Hi,  I have quite a few synths in my studio (20+) and I'm always having problems scanning through patches because they don't all respond to patch change the way my main keyboard sends it out.  I can do it on the computer but it's awkward the way things are set up.  I want to create a MIDI Designer page that will do the following:

Have a patch + and - button for moving through patches remotely

-Note that this will need to send MSB/LSB with it in most cases

Have a numeric keypad where I can type in the preset number.

-This will have to send the entire message after I finish typing in all of the data.  I'm thinking a separate button for bank number with this so I can select a bank then type in the patch.

*IF* this is possible, then I'll build a page for every synth that is different.

I've searched through the forum and looked up anything I could but I can't figure out if I can accomplish something like this with MIDI Designer.

Hi and thanks for your question and the love.

1. No numeric keypad in MD yet.
2. You can use Send On Release only to dial in the right number on a knob or slider
3. There are two options for your bank changes that might work:
   1. Send Only on Supercontrol Change (option as sub)
   2. Send Current Value (option as sub)

Experiment with those concepts on a small scale and see what you can understand. Glad to help as this conversation moves forward.
