for using an external sequenzer, via Irig, how can I adjust the midi channel, I'm using the yamaha dx7 layout

Please be more specific. What midi channel are you talking about? What are you trying to do in the sequencer or the DX7?

i'm using the korg electribe as sequencer to send notes to the ipad, I would like to control the keys of the "yamaha dx layout", which are "playing" -soundless- now after performing "midi learn".    
The DX7II hardware synth gives only sound by touching the virtual keys on the  Ipad-mididesigner.     -the layout works perfectly between DX7II and MIDIdesigner, there is only no "sounding" connection from  other devices, and midi learn involves the same notes on all octaves, so may be this stil needs a specific midi channel which both devices agree on

I don't know if it is possible to trigger the virtual keys on the MD layout with midi from outside. Maybe admin can chime in here.

It would be fantastic if there was a design to it, I only use sequencers to do music
