Detaching named ticks display from knob and independently adjusting its size

Question

In my layout creation, which mainly involves controlling my guitar/amp/speaker/effects rig with Sound Sculpture switchers, I need a relatively  large amount of text to describe the presets I am making, even using 2 letter acronyms. So my only solution so far is to make the knobs larger than I need them to be in order to fit the text. It would be very useful if the app allowed the named ticks display to be detached and independently sized from the knob it was attached to. This would save a lot of space and permit neater layouts. Just a thought.

Thanks. It's a great suggestion. We've been thinking about this -- detached labels that show some value from a control -- and it's a lot easier to implement than a lot of other suggestions AND it will be amazingly useful, so... it's got a lot in it's favor.
