mididesigner and audio noise

Hello,

I am using Mididesigner Pro and loopy HD with an Alesis Dock IO (1st gen.) on my iPad 2. I get quite some noise from the Alesis audio interface but the noise completely disappears when I quit Mididesigner Pro. What could this interference be… any ideas?
