Thanks, this is awesome! We'll be talking this up on social media soon.

Looking forward to seeing this advance in both aesthetics and functionality (as MD advances). Glad to have it, thanks again, EZB, what a huge amount of stuff you've contributed in 2014!
No, thank you for creating such a revolutionary piece of software that enrichens my musical experience every day.

Is this layout compatible with the newest version of Sylenth1?

Hi, thanks for the layout. I tried using it with the newest version of Sylenth1, but I can't seem to make it work.

I've replaced the Midilearn.dat file as suggested.

I'm connecting with the Midi Le app.

Thanks for any help!

Hello Paal

I will have to check it on the newest version of Sylenth1. I just updated to the latest Sylenth1 a few days ago, but I haven't checked if midilearn.dat still works. I will get back to you with a solution.
Thanks, its' great that you will take a look at it.

To me it may seem like the location of the midilearn.dat file has changed?

I can now find it in:
~/Library/Application Support/LennarDigital/Sylenth1/Config/
Thanks for the heads up, Paal. It doesn't work on my Sylenth1.
And yes, there are suddenly 2 locations for Sylenth1 all of a sudden.

Sylenth 2 location is
~/Library/Preferences/LennarDigital/Sylenth1

Sylenth 3 location is
~/Library/Application Support/Lennar Digital/Sylenth1/Config

My problem now is that I don't have a Midi Learn button in Sylenth1. It disappeared.
Do you see a Midi Learn button in the right top of Sylenth1, Paal?
If you do let me know. Otherwise I will have to write to Lennard.
Hi, I can't see the Midi Learn button either, sorry.
Thanks again for looking into this.
Thanks for your reply. Ok. I wrote an email. I can't also find the manual for version 3.
My guess right now is that they changed the structure of the midilearn.dat file so that's why it is not working.
I will let you know what happens when Lennard mails back.
Hey, Paal. I uploaded the MidiLearn.dat file and I also fixed a bug in the Sylenth1 layout.
Let me know how it goes. I will be gone for a few days as of tomorrow.
Hei ezb, thanks so much for the update. After updating with the new midilearn.dat file and the new layout, I'm getting some response from Sylenth1. But the mapping is not working as it should, at least not on my end. Some of the controls are not responding, while others are not responding to the corresponding controls. The main volume control is working as it should :)

Is everything working as it should for you?
Hello Paal

I compared my midilearn.dat file to the one I uploaded here. They are identical. I did another test and everything is working as it should. What Sylenth1 version are you running? I am running 3.020. If you are running a lower version,3.009 for example I could imagine that the midilearn.dat file structures are not identical and that would explain some things. That is the only thing I can think of right now.

I created the midilearn.dat file so that other people don't have to go through the process. If you want to go through the process yourself you can try. Just click the right mouse button on a parameter and select midi learn. Then turn the corresponding knob on your Sylenth1 MD layout and confirm that it moves in Sylenth1 itself. Do that for all parameters.

I am unfortunately not available for the next few days. If problems still persist let me know. I am definitely curious to see what is happening.

Oh, and are you running the Sylenth1 vst version or the au version?
Hi,

thanks for suggestions. I'm also using the 3.020 version. I've tried with AU and VST and it seems to be the same on both.

This could just a problem with my setup. I'm fairly new to midi designer.
I've tried mapping with midi learn on Sylenth using the layout and I have the same problem there.
I'll do some more testing and get back to you.
Thanks again!
Paal. Do you have Skype and Teamviewer? I could take a look to see what is going on. Just add itsmememeezb to your Skype contacts.
Hi, yes that would be nice. A little busy right now, but perhaps sometime in the weekend? I'll add you to my skype contacts
Weekend is no problem. What timezone are you in?
Great, I'm in Central European Time Zone.
I am probably also in Central European  Time(Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin). Check Skype messages. I wrote you.
