Hello,
I'm currently using the midi designer to control a Muse Receptor with rack interface.
I implemented a wireless interface on the receptor to work wirelessly with the midi designer (anyone interested?).
I'm currently experiencing the following problem:
The receptor lets you create presets, and group them in a tag. The TAG lets you load all instruments for a given set at once, then change their parameters in realtime. Using the tag to select different sections for a song is a bit slow, so it's not usable.
So I was thinking in making "presets" in the midi designer, so I could use the program change to switch between songs, and, for each song, program a verse section, a chorus section, and so on. Every section is different in each song.
Actually, the "preset" function in the midi designer seems to do what I'd like to do: I put a fader for each synth vst available in the receptor; then, for example, I raise the 1st synth volume to maximum and low the other ones for an intro, saving it as preset 1. Then, for the verse, I raise two other faders and put the first one down, then save it as preset 2.
Finally, I create buttons to switch between the various presets.
Problem is I just have 20 presets: with this configuration, for example for 10 songs which got an intro, a verse, a bridge, a chorus and a solo, I'd need 50 presets. And our songs are way more complex than that.
Anybody sees an alternate solution?
Thanks
