program change knob on pedalboard seems to hang

Question

Hi, i'm a new user and struggling with a program change knob on the pedalboard. It receives PC#0-3 on channel 15 and has a group of 4 buttons associated. Each button sends a different CC to an external device.

This works great for the most time. But sometimes, after startup, the Knob does not react on incoming PC's. I can manually adjust the value of the knob (and associated buttons send their CC), but the knob doesn't react. (I can see the incoming messages in the log).

The knob starts working again after i press one of the associated buttons. Is this a bug or is there a problem with my layout? BTW, i'm on ios8.

There are several possible problems here, but let's start with easy solutions first. Any chance that you can avoid using a PC for the external hardware and use a CC (or CCs) instead?

Also please try moving the knob off the pedalboard (in MIDI Designer) and see if that helps (then it would be a question of shutting off "pickup" takeover mode, which is an option for pedalboards).

My foot controller is a Boss GT-10 which can only send PC's when pressing the Patch buttons 1-4.
Problem disappeared when i moved the PC knob to the normal page. So I moved the knob back to pedalboard and i shut off the pickup takeover mode. This helped, until now no more problems.
This seems to fix the problem. The other controls on the pedalboard continue working: two knobs for volume and modulation (CC# 3 and 7), and two buttons (CC# 80 and 81).
So thank you very much for the solution and the great app. I'm very happy about how easy it was to connect my external Hardware and my apps.
Finally i would be glad if you could provide some information about the pickup takeover mode, Google didn't help me.
