Hi Patrick,

did you complete your 11R controller? Maybe we can share our experiences

Hi Kees.  I did complete my 11R controller.  It worked well.  I've since sold the 11R and moved on.  I'm using the Line 6 Helix now.  It's much easier to use than the 11R with the softstep.
Hi patrick, thx for the reply. Do you have your mdp-files available for sharing?
The short answer is no.  I just looked at my MIDI designer file for the 11R.  I see now that I stopped developing that.  I ended up taking another route to controlling the 11R, which was using a McMillan SoftStep foot controller.  I had to program that in a similar way that I started doing with MIDI Designer.  So, I do have a MIDI Designer file for the 11R, and another for the POD, but I stopped working on them before they became polished enough to make sense to anyone but myself.  The best I can tell you about them is that they did work.  MIDI designer is capable of controlling the 11R and the POD in a useful way.  I will also add that I ended up abandoning all of that... the 11R, POD and MIDI Designer.  Although I found MIDI Designer to be awesome, I am using the Line 6 Helix, and that is working much better for me.
Hey patrick, also switched to helix. No layout yet for the helix on mdp2. Thinking about building one. Is there something to share helix-wise?
I have created a MIDI designer controller for Helix.  I run it on an iPhone 6.  It works in conjunction with - Wireless MIDI interface mi.1 [Rev.3].  There is also a Yamaha bluetooth wireless MIDI interface that it should work with. The main control page allows tap tempo and selection of a row of presets and a row of snapshots.  There are other pages that allow control of effect parameters.  It allows me to place Helix in the backline and control it without a pedalboard or using any floor space on stage.  A wireless guitar transmitter and the iPhone allows for no stage cables and no stage pedalboard floor space.  The -Wireless MIDI interface mi.1 [Rev.3]- operates over bluetooth and is powered by the MIDI jacks on the Helix (no MIDI power required).  I have the Helix floor unit.  I think this controller would also work with Helix LT and Helix rack.  I haven't yet tried the MIDI Designer community function of the iPhone app, and I imagine that is how I would share the controller program.  I will look into that soon.
Whow, that seems like a neat solution. I am very concerned about the singer of the band with high heals stepping on the display of the helix.
I am looking forward to the way of editing patches on stages without kneeling down. At home I do that via my pc connected to the helix.
I surveyed trough the midi possibilities. For so far that looks fine for choosing patches and snapshotd. Parameter editting seems a bit harder because there is no global cc setting for a specific parameter.
Keep you posted
Hey Patrick, do you have a layout for the helix?

Interested in having a play.

Question; is it possible to have the currently loaded patch NAME display on MD?  In addition to the set list/patch number.
