Can MD Request and then display patch names?

I plan to control a Kemper Profiling Amplifier (KPA) for performance purposes using MD on the iPad.  When changing patches (Rigs) using MD,  can MD retrieve and display the patch name from the KPA? If it can, what control or shape can I use in MD to display the name?

The midi parameter in the KPA documentation gives an example: "Request the current values for the current Rig name": F0 00 20 33 02 7f 43 00 00 01 F7.

I am new to midi but  have reasonable computer skills, so I need a simplified answer if possible.

Hi and thanks for your question. MD can't display patch names that come in via midi messages (unless you've out those names in beforehand via named ticks). This is something that we are considering for the future.

Note that another way to work, though not completely relevant, is to have MIDI Designer hold and send presets. Google presets midi designer to see what the setup looks like.
