I think your XML suggestion was more useful and it was voted.
This suggestion on the other hand would be platform specific and 99.99...% less useful.
I'm not sure how the clipboard is platform specific? And it's consistent with what you can do to edit named ticks. Can you elaborate? I just think it would be a while before we see XML support
It's not anything you can't overcome by copy and pasting across different systems I guess unless you know a better way of sharing clipboards?.. the XML just needs to be loaded, saved or overwritten from any platform to Midi Designers directory as if Midi Designer is part of the file system. But I do agree this new suggestion is better then nothing.
Ah I see what you mean. Yeah I kind of imagine this as a poor-cousin :) Get the stuff on the clipboard, paste in an email, download on my PC, edit, send it back to my iPad on email and copy paste back. What could possibly go wrong hahaha Simple!

Again, we definitely agree the XML would be awesome...I can see incredible potential to generate a layout from a technical specification / user guide. Imagine opening a PDF and copying pasting sections that generate a start-point for your layouts. That could really make Midi Designer the next generation of midi hybrid being able to launch your designs from source documents that we translate into XML.
Why not JSON ? I can write a simple Python script that will copy group of controls with all the desired properties, something I cannot do if I have multiple supers attached to two buttons and I need to copy it 16 times
