Let's step through this a bit at a time. The eventual goal will be to get your MIDI Designer to respond to the PCs on a "pedalboard" (google the video on pedalboards in MIDI Designer), and have those trigger CCs.

So the first question is: do you have MIDI Designer lighting up (light on top right) in response to a press on the pedalboard? If not, how are you thinking of connecting your iPad and the board? We can get as basic as we need to here, but no point in going over stuff if you've already got it working.

Thanks for your patience as we figure this out!
I have an Alesis iodock. The only need for Sysex is if I'm updating the firmware, so I assume this won't be an issue.

I will have to wait until next week to have the pedalboard in front of me. I was hoping to have most of it programmed so I could just connect my pedalboard straight up and get it working right away. I will respond when I have the pedalboard hooked up and ready to go.

I do have access to the iPad, iodock and Moogerfoogers at the moment.
There's no reason at all not to get the iPad controlling the MIDI targets right now, and then figure out the other piece. Since the supecontrols can be created later and will control the controls you create today, it's fine.

Plug in the pedalboard and get it working directly? Possible. You could at the very least make one supercontrol per control.

See the pedalboards video... the question is whether you need more than one page or just want to use MD to translate.
I am currently controlling one of my pedals with the Moog MF-104M layout that was added recently. It works great!

I guess where I'm currently confused is on how to create the presets/patches of the settings I made after the layout is made. I'm also not sure of the best practice is for creative multiple effects controllers. Do I create the layouts in the same bank, but on different pages? Or should I separate each pedal into different banks?

Thank you for taking the time to help with this!!
Glad to help and get you up and running.

So you can create global presets in MIDI Designer and presets for groups of controls. You can google both of those concepts.

Then... the question of whether to put stuff in the same bank or in different banks is up to you, but to start just use one bank. It's easy enough to move pages between banks later.

If you can fit everything on one page (or two pages) and want to control everything at once, that's one way to go. If you have too many controls, you will have to split it up somehow.

If you want to use the One Big Page feature, then you have to use two separate banks.

Good luck.
