Dan, The new "preset for groups of controls" looks great! I have a quick question for you. I'm working on a layout for my PODX3 Live (which I'll share when done). It will expand on the one already in the community.
This new feature will allow me to save and name new presets for the individual effects or groups of them. This will be cool because I can have named presets for each effect - this isn't currently supported by the POD. For example, I could set up my own custom presets for a particular chorus effect or stomp box.
Is there a way to do the same thing with named preset storage and recall, but keep it as a global preset that saves all values across all controls/pages?? I know that there are the 20 global presets, but they cannot be named. And, draggin all of the controls across all of my pages to a supercontrol would be a pain.
The reason I want this is that I'll use my layout for tweaking the POD without having to crouch down. Saving and naming the patches on the POD is tedious with the dials! I want to be able to dial in a sound and then save it with a name.
This would allow me to tweak all of the controls across the entire layout, then save the whole thing as a named preset in mididesigner. Then I could create a page or pedalboard with buttons that would recall my named presets.
I would imagine that this would be helpful for all kinds of presets for synths or lighting folks who would want to save scenes by a name.
Thanks for this amazing software. It really is awesome and fun to play with! I will be reviewing it on iTunes.
