MIDI Designer and Bidirectional Communication (Logic)

Question

Hi, I want to use MidiDesigner for simple tasks like f.ex.controlling Kontakt 5 instruments under LogicX  (breath controller or some other things that I can assign using Logics' Learn.

HOW CAN I DO MIDIDESIGNER CAN READ BACK AUTOMATICS so sliders on the MidiDesigner are moving when something happens?

Hi and thanks for your question. MIDI Designer will respond to all MIDI sent to it and adjust controls based on the values, so it's fully bidirectional. As to how it can respond to Kontakt 5 Instruments under Logic X, I'm not sure. Would you mind checking the Logic forums, or perhaps the NI forums? Please come back and share what you've learned, if you don't mind.

Hi anyway problem not solved. I did a simple test. No virtual instruments. I have created fader in Mididesigner12 and Learned logic to use it as the volume slider for instrument 1 on the first track. When I physically touch iPad and move it it also moves on the computer screen BUT when I playback it moves on the Logic screen ONLY on my Mac. Slider on my iPad does not move AT ALL. What can I do? Thanks

So you're saying that you can get bidirectional communication with common Logic faders, but NOT with virtual instruments, yes?

No. I cannot get ANY bidirectional communication, even with logic faders!
