Connecting to Cubase

Probably a stupid question, but how do I actually set the controls in MIDI Designer to functions in Cubase 5? I have a basic set up on MIDI designer so i can use it as a basic mixer with all the usual things like faders, pan pots, mute/solo and transport control but i dont know how to actually get it connected to Cubase. all the tutorials I've found about connection is getting it onto your network and I've done that. Please help!

Hi and thanks for your question. For Cubase, does this article help? http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec10/articles/cubase-tech-1210.htm Basically, you'll be using MIDI Designer as a generic MIDI controller.

Let me know if you can figure out how to proceed using general online resources on Cubase, starting from a search like this https://www.google.com/search?q=generic+midi+controller+cubase
