Hi,

I have been playing with loading layouts and have observed that once MIDI Designer is open, it does not seem to open another layout from the website.

However, if you exit and remove it from the running tasks (4 finger swipe up from Springboard to access task bar) and then from Safari, tap the file and select 'open in' (no need to long tap).  That seems to work fine for me.

It seems like it may be a way of protecting the existing work you may not have saved?

  Hope this helps.
Hello rubberjack. Popup thank you for the response. I did not realize there were ANY issues regarding loading from an external source (e.g., website) whatsoever. Today I'm mostly out-of-touch but I'll check into this tomorrow. If there is a problem, I'll be fixing it for the next release.

Please note: if the expected method doesn't work, and popup's method doesn't work, you can also drag the .mididesigner file in via iTunes. This requires a connection to a computer and so it's not ideal. Anyway, I'll be back tomorrow with some additional news. Thanks again.

Best!

Hi Both, thanks for your response - had already tried closing the App so it was launched by the open in Midi editor command to no avail before posting the question.

Good news is, for some reason the templates now show up as files with some content (not 0Kb anymore) and this now works. Presumably just a Sunday-freakout on my device.

Thanks again for your help!

Thanks for getting back. The 0k files seems to indicate a possible connectivity problem or a problem with the Q&A site. I'll keep an eye on this. Thanks for your patience and glad we got this issue resolved.

If you feel so inclined, please review MD in the App Store.

Best!
Dan
