Are there limits on orientation changes?

MD responds to when you re-orient the device (charger port on left vs. on right), but only once!  after it flips once, it locks that way until you kill the app from the multitasking tray...

I've just tried to replicate this and cannot. Could it be that you've turned the accelerometer on?
