Multiple Clipboard Functionality?

My usual apology if this topic covered elsewhere and the facility exists.

In reading through the forum I've noticed that many items concern the issue of single or double page format. Could the process of using the dual page layout as a means of  copying/duplicating/transferring etc. be better served by the use of single or multiple clipboards (with the ability to name and save them) that users could save collections of customised controls (presets?) to?

Such collections would be great for users to share with others. This would certainly aid in the speedy development of new projects. The creation of collections of  MD items suited to a particular piece of software, hardware or a manufacturer would be a great contributor to rapid development - a virtual database of MD building blocks!

I do go on a bit and fully understand that your head is probably full to exploding point with feedback/suggestions, so please let me know if you'd prefer me to be silent until I've read the whole forum!  :)

Note: the motivation of the two-page layout is primarily for performance, not for design. On iPhone, in fact, there aren't two pages. The only support needed for that is, mostly, a "move to page" button, though it's hard to move controls between banks on iPhone right now.

As far as providing a way for users to share pieces of layouts and perhaps presets... that will be happening with pages, first.

I really appreciate the suggestions. Don't worry about overwhelming the forum with suggestions. That's what it's for.
