Can a user definable random number generator be added?

One of my intended uses for MD is to create a patch/bank generator for my Akai EWI 4000 wind synth. MD may or may not have all of the functionality that I'm going to need ( I don't yet know enough about it to be sure) but I know I'm going to need a random number generator that I can set the parameters for and assign the output to other controls. Perhaps there are many potential uses for it.

I am aware that programs exist for the project I have in mind on other platforms, but it gives me something to focus on while exploring MD's possibilities!
