More than 1000 ticks and display values needed

Question

I have encountered a situation in which I need more than 1000 ticks and display values. 1813 to be exact. Will that be possible in a future release? You can thank Roland for the 1813 values. I also have a case of 913 values and 914 ticks but they can't be selected. I will use 999 for the time being.

The answer is to use Named Ticks.  [ more information about Named Ticks here ]

 

This problem came up recently in a layout that had 2157 ticks for a 14-bit NRPN knob. We ended up with this solution.

You can just copy and paste the named ticks in via MIDI Designer.

They were generated using a spreadsheet. Comment back if you have any questions.
